SITE INFORMATION

Privacy notice.

SecurixNews stores account usernames, password hashes, likes, comments, moderation state, abuse reports, and security rate-limit counters in its private application database. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Comments are held for review before public display.

The site uses a signed session cookie to keep a visitor signed in. The cookie is HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax; the production setup also marks it Secure so browsers send it only over HTTPS. The site does not add advertising trackers or analytics by default. The reverse proxy and hosting provider may keep operational access logs under their own retention policies.

An account holder can delete their account from the account menu. This removes that account’s likes, comments, and reports from the application database. The operator should also remove the same records from retained backups as those backups expire.

Before public launch, the operator must identify the legal entity operating the site, set a working contact address, and adapt this notice to the hosting location and applicable law.
